I always say I want a long lace dress or a short 50's style dress, and David always asks me "Why not short and lace?" I thought it would look weird. I was wrong. It looks awesome.

I was just about to ask if you'd seen Stephanie James' dresses when I read short and lace, but you beat me to it!
Candy Anthony does gorgeous short lace dresses too. She's British (and expensive) but good for inspiration!
I've also seen some lovely short lace dresses on etsy.
Stephanie James! I love every gown she makes! Good pictures too!
Ummmm... yeah.. Remeber the dress shop in HB that we were gawking through the windo? Short AND lace.
Your boy there has got a good eye for style, he's a keeper!
Miss Beck! That store we keep walking by? Stephanie James! It's her one and only store.
short and lace is gorgeous, great find with stephanie james. have you tried one on yet?
I think I'm getting mine made, Berry, but... I always go by her store down south, so I might just try some on!
Maybe try Recapture Designs on College in Oakland. They restyle vintage wedding dresses (and party dresses) to make them fit and modernize them. Even if you don't find your wedding, its so worth the trip.
