I'm posting these lovely wedding invitations with images of Brooklyn because we left our home in Brooklyn with a moving van filled will all our earthly belongings exactly one year ago today. It feels like just moments ago, but today I'm overwhelmed with longing for New York, all of our sweet east coast friends, hot summers, Olive Vine Cafe, the subway, Prospect Park, and nights in Park Slope where it seemed like you were in Paris. So (especially with the dollar sucking the way it is right now) I recommend both New York City and road trips as excellent honeymoon options.

I WISH we could go to New York for our honeymoon. We went for a few days 2 years ago and I loved it more than anywhere else I've ever been. It felt like home to me. But The Boy won't fly any more and although deep down I know it's the right thing to do (or not do) I can't help feeling so sad that we won't be going back to NY. How could you ever leave it?! Although San Francisco was pretty cool too. Do I remember you saying you are in Berkeley? I stayed there for two weeks and loved it almost as much as NY. It's somewhere else we fantasise about living!
Are you kidding me? A year ago today? I am now not a fan of today. Tee hee. We miss you here in Prospect Park.
i've been reading your blog for a short while now, but had no idea you moved from Brooklyn to CA. We did too, and I miss it every day. (my blog is monkeywed.blogspot.com btw!)
we're planning a road trip honeymoon due to lazy last minute planning and lack of funds! we're taking highway 1 down the california coast from the national redwood forests to LA for a week and i can't wait!
p.s. - we're east coasters, so a west coast trip is still exotic for us.
Deanna- Jealous of you! We recently did the drive down and it's gorgeous. Definitely take the time to stop at Hearst Castle, and also San Luis Obispo, and its peir, is a cute little town, often overlooked by people who stop only in Monterrey.
Oh Ms. Peonies, and how we wish we could go to/live in Scotland! It's a mutual admiration society. We live in San Francisco proper, but deeply love Berkeley... it's sitting across the bay for us and our "one day." :)
Deanna, it's going to be *great*!
I moved from the West Village to LA. Still have mixed feelings :P
We're planning a road trip honeymoon, making our way down the west coast from BC!
That is so wonderful that being with David turned what what should have been a chore into one of the great joys of your life. I know that is super cheesy but I love it.
This reminded me of all the holiday disasters we ever had (about which I should blog) that were made just lovely because I shared them with Baddie :)
Oh how I miss my brooklyn too! I moved from NYC about a year and half ago to Milan, Italy to be with my fiance and now husband. As much as its a dream to live overseas, a piece of my heart will always be in brklyn.
I also moved from Brooklyn to San Francisco. It has been about nine months now; I miss NY so much.
I'm glad you're an SF area blogger, your words of love for this city have helped me a bit in my adjustment!
