Sponsor Introduction: Emily Sterne Photography

I'm really quite honored to introduce new APW sponsor Emily Sterne Photography, who is really just awesome. She's a card carrying member of Team Practical, a long time reader, and a bride. She is based in Boston, and people, this is someone you want hanging out at your wedding, really. In her own words:

I totally embrace your blog's philosophy, that for every wedding there is a right way, and in terms of photography, that right way might not always be the traditional 'hire a photographer' way. For those who do decide that hiring a professional is part of their plan, however, I highly, highly recommend this 3 part article. I found it truly enlightening.

I aspire to work with couples who are choosing to make their weddings personal, real, and meaningful. I want to photograph real people, real emotions, and real relationships (fabulous shoes/rings/flowers/cakes/dresses can make great pictures too!). Ever since I began reading your blog (as a bride in the planning stages myself), the thoughts and ideas expressed here have really resonated with me. I haven't found many 'bridal communities' where that is true- and have come to really value what is going on here. I am excited to be a part of it.

I'm heading off tomorrow to photograph a wedding, and I am feeling much the same way I expect to feel before my own wedding - I am excited, filled with anticipation and curiosity to see how the day will turn out. I am going over my 'readiness list' and making sure everything is accounted for. I am a little nervous. I am hoping for good weather. I am filled with love.

Photo: Why didn't I pick a picture of bride? Well, I think Emily catches joy as it catches the light....
